Here are the most frequently asked questions summarized:

What is HXZ.ONE?

HXZ.ONE [ˈhækˌzoʊn] is an IT security conference in Salzburg, Austria. It is set up as a pop-up conference and brings the Austrian IT security community together for talks on current cyber security topics, followed by networking. The goal is to bring the topic of IT security to a wider audience.

When and where does HXZ.ONE #3 take place?

HXZ.ONE #3 takes place on Wednesday, 24 March 2027, from 16:00 to 22:30 at the JazzIt Musik Club Salzburg, Elisabethstrasse 11, 5020 Salzburg, Austria. The venue is within walking distance of Salzburg main station.

Which language are the talks held in?

Talks are held in German and English. The language of each talk is stated with the talk in the schedule.

Who is HXZ.ONE for?

For IT security professionals, developers, system administrators, students and anyone interested in cyber security. Prior knowledge is not strictly required - the talks cover a range of experience levels.

Is HXZ.ONE a for-profit event?

No. The costs for renting the venue, providing food and drinks, producing web and print products, and the significant time investment required to organize an event like HXZ.ONE should be covered by entrance fees and sponsorship contributions.

The main goal of HXZ.ONE is to bring the topic of IT security to life and spark interest in it – not to generate profits.

Which ticket is right for me?

In principle, anyone interested can purchase a standard ticket at a price of EUR 23.42. The price is deliberately kept very low to ensure that participants actually attend the event.

• Enterprise Ticket: For companies, it may be useful to have their participation in the event confirmed. Under the new NIS legislation, company officials are required to further educate themselves on IT security issues. Those who need this proof and/or want to support the financing of the HXZ.ONE event with the higher ticket price should choose this option.

• Donation: For those who believe that the price of the standard ticket is too low or actually too high.

Can I submit a talk?

Yes. The Call for Participation runs at cfp.hxz.one . Submissions are welcome on any topic around IT security, cyber security, hacking and defence.

How can I support HXZ.ONE?

Companies can support the conference as a gold, silver or bronze sponsor.
